Rod,
Many thanks for your efforts regarding the possible CAPB rehearsal at KP last evening. They eventually found a
place at the Enfield RSL, now run by one of our former members, Bradley Bain, ex Timor and Timor Leste.
Greg,
As discussed regarding Des Milde plus the above DVA Mental Health Week Funding.
Squadron Leader Ash Wright has confirmed and just waiting on other possibilities with Olympian Jess Stenson now not
available as a guest speaker.
We will have to continue to put the pressure on the blokes to attend on Friday 25th October.

On 8 October 1942 the 25th Brigade, 7th Division, contacts Japanese rear-guard at Templeton's Crossing. The full clash
between Australian and Japanese forces would not take place until the 12th of October, and would see Australian soldiers
of the 16th and 25th Brigade fight the retreating Japanese of the 114th Infantry Regiment.
The battle would last for 17 days and see 412 Australian and 244 Japanese killed in one of the most significant battles of
the Kokoda Campaign. The pursuit of the Japanese retreating along the Kokoda Trail involved multiple hard fights. Templeton's
Crossing was named after an officer of the 39th Battalion, lost without trace in the retreat from Kokoda.

and notes made of the country at the locality whilst passing through.
